We reply with a fixed all-in price, usually within a few hours on a business day.

Estimates are based on our current forwarder rate sheet and cover the 48 contiguous states (no PO boxes, military addresses, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam or Alaska). Chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight (L×W×H cm ÷ 6000). Ocean shipments have a 21 kg minimum per shipment and 12 kg minimum billable per carton. Rates move with fuel, season and exchange rates, so the final price is confirmed per shipment.

What you are seeing

What the estimate covers

Our lines are DDP — duty-paid to the door. The number above is what lands on your invoice, not a freight-only teaser that grows once customs gets involved.

Included in the price

  • Pickup from your supplier and consolidation at our warehouse
  • Export clearance in China and ocean or air freight
  • US customs clearance and import duty — no separate customs bill
  • Final-mile delivery to your address, Amazon FBA included
  • FBA and Team Lift labelling when you ship to Amazon

Not included

  • The goods themselves and your supplier's domestic China delivery, if they charge it
  • Special packaging, palletising or repacking beyond normal consolidation
  • Storage past the free period at our warehouse
  • Anti-dumping duties and product-specific compliance (UL, FDA, TSCA) on regulated goods
  • Delivery outside the 48 contiguous states — no PO boxes, military, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam or Alaska

Why you may pay for more kilos than you ship

This is the single biggest surprise for first-time importers, and the reason two shipments of the same weight can cost very differently. Freight is billed on chargeable weight — the greater of what your cargo actually weighs and what the space it occupies is worth.

Volumetric weight: L × W × H (cm) ÷ 6000
Your cartonActual weightVolumetric weightYou are billed
Hand tools · 40 × 30 × 30 cm18 kg6 kg18 kg — dense cargo, actual wins
Kitchenware · 60 × 40 × 40 cm15 kg16 kg16 kg — almost balanced
Cushions · 60 × 50 × 50 cm7 kg25 kg25 kg — you pay for the space

A useful shortcut: one cubic metre bills as about 167 kg. If your cargo is denser than that, you pay by weight; if it is lighter, you pay by volume. Foam, textiles, plastics and anything with air inside the box almost always bill by volume, so tighter packing from your supplier translates directly into a smaller freight bill.

Two more rules the calculator applies for you: sea freight has a minimum of 21 kg per shipment and a minimum billable 12 kg per carton. A single 4 kg box still bills as 12 kg, which is why consolidating several suppliers into one shipment nearly always beats sending cartons one by one.

Choosing a line

Which service fits your shipment

Speed is not the only difference — the lines accept different categories and price small shipments very differently.

Sea DDP — Standard

≈ 21 days

The workhorse for Amazon FBA restocks and steady inventory. Best cost per kilogram once you are over roughly 100 kg, with weekly sailings and UPS final mile across the US.

Sea DDP — Express

≈ 18 days

The same route with priority sailing and faster customs release. Worth the premium when a stockout is closer than three weeks away.

Express Consolidation

≈ 15 days

Door-to-door with duty, fuel and residential delivery already inside the rate. Accepts categories standard sea will not take, including food, cosmetics and personal-use goods. The sensible choice for smaller parcels.

Before you commit

What actually moves your price

Density

Kilograms per cubic metre decide whether you pay by weight or by space. The cheapest saving in freight is a smaller carton.

Destination zone

West coast ZIPs 8–9 are cheapest, Central 4–7 sit in the middle, East 0–3 cost most. The calculator reads the zone from your ZIP.

Shipment size

Heavier consolidated shipments reach the low end of the range; small ones pay the high end and can hit the 21 kg minimum.

Address type

Amazon FBA is the baseline. A non-Amazon business address adds a little, a residential or remote address adds more.

Product and HS code

Duty is inside our DDP price, but the rate depends on what the goods are — so unusual or high-value cargo is confirmed per shipment.

Season and fuel

Ocean rates, fuel surcharges and the exchange rate move constantly. Peak season before Chinese New Year is the sharpest swing.

Check this before you order from your supplier. These lines cannot carry counterfeit or unauthorised branded goods, pure batteries, liquids, powders, tobacco and vapes, magnets, knives and weapons, adult goods, seeds or poisons. Food, cosmetics, medical and baby products are accepted on express consolidation but not on standard sea freight.
  • Every carton needs MADE IN CHINA marking and a valid HS code on the paperwork.
  • Products with built-in batteries are handled case by case — send us a photo before you place the order.
  • Not sure how your goods classify? Ask us first. A rejected shipment at the warehouse costs far more than a question.
FAQ

Questions importers actually ask

How accurate is the calculator?
It runs on the rate sheet we actually ship on, so for standard cargo it lands close to the final invoice. Two things can move it: our warehouse re-measures your cartons on arrival, and duty depends on the HS code of your specific product. That is why we confirm a firm price the same business day instead of pretending the estimate is binding.
Why am I charged for more kilograms than my cargo weighs?
Because freight is billed on chargeable weight — the greater of actual and volumetric weight, where volumetric is L×W×H in cm divided by 6000. Light bulky cargo occupies space a heavier shipment would have paid for. See the worked examples above.
Are customs duties really included?
Yes. Our lines are DDP — duty-paid to the door. Freight, customs clearance and import duty are inside the price and you never receive a separate customs bill. Because duty depends on your HS code, unusual or high-value goods are confirmed per shipment.
Why a range instead of one fixed price?
Ocean rates, fuel surcharges and exchange rates move constantly, and heavier shipments earn better rates than small ones. The range shows that spread around the most likely price for your weight and destination.
What is the minimum shipment?
21 kg per shipment for sea freight, with a minimum billable 12 kg per carton. Below that you still pay the minimum — so consolidating several suppliers into one shipment is usually cheaper than sending boxes separately.
Can you deliver straight to Amazon FBA?
Yes, across the 48 contiguous states, with correct FBA and Team Lift labelling and the warehouse code on the paperwork. Non-Amazon business addresses cost slightly more and residential or remote addresses more again — the calculator adds that for you.
I have several suppliers in different cities. Can you combine them?
That is exactly what our consolidation warehouse is for. Your suppliers ship to us domestically, we receive, check and consolidate, then one shipment travels to your door. You pay one freight bill instead of several, and usually hit a better rate bracket.
